Via Frattina

Hello and Happy Tuesday everyone!!! As we kick start this new month, I thought it would be a good idea to take time today and jot down the things that I have and not accomplished so far.  Suddenly, it feels like time is flying so fast that I need to switch off  and look back; to appreciate the beauty that surrounds me and get closer to myself.  My day to day schedule can be overwhelming, and often times, I get caught in those moments where I feel so much pressure. And honestly, it is easy to forget to create time to be thankful for what I have.  Moments like this helps me reflect on all these worries and allow me to gain a clear perspective. I might not have everything that I wanted or wish for but that is okay cause’ I appreciate all that I have, who I am and where I am today. And I couldn’t be happier and proud of myself. How are you starting this new month?

Taking  you back to Rome, Axel and I had the pleasure of walking eighteen kilometers exploring the city. We started the day by taking some pictures on Via Frattina, a walking street with some luxury shopping boutiques before it got crowded. The shoes that I’m wearing on this post were not feet friendly for such a long walk, so I went back to the hotel to wear sneakers which gave me more comfort. Our first stop was at the Vatican museum where we had an incredible experience.  The museum is divided into different parts. You get to see the most extraordinary pieces of art from all over the world, and also enjoy a great view of the Vatican Gardens. My most intense experience was the Sistine Chapel and  Raphael  Rooms which I highly recommend.  Vatican Museum is a must-see  if you ever travel to Rome.

St. Peter’s Basilica blew my mind off. We had to wait in a queue for forty-five minutes but the experience was all worth it. We were  completely in awe at  how huge the art, sculptures and the church itself is. From inside, St. Peters Basicilia is surprisingly impressive and it is not close to anything I have ever imagined or seen. We couldn’t leave without going all the way up to the dome where we had the most spectacular view of the city and St. Peters Square. The rest of the day was spent walking around discovering hidden corners of Rome.

Thank you for reading!! Sending you all my love and big hugs

The queues are very long mostly because of a large number of tourist, but guess what, I actually forgot that we waited that long immediately after we got inside the church. 🙂

Thank you so much, Danielle. This bag is just the bomb and I love it. New Attitude has really nice bags. You should check their bag section. It was a short trip but we really had a great time. 🙂
