Suprise Welcome

Greetings from Nunguni! A small village situated on the hillside of Makueni in the Eastern part of Kenya. It’s over two weeks since I came back home from Denmark to a surprise welcome from my family with so much love and warmth. Despite the chilly “winter” weather, for me, this has been a great opportunity to bond with everyone here at home doing things together and going for random walks with mom and my little sister. And just like the olden days, we still love to sit long hours in our little kitchen outside around a bonfire during the evening talking endlessly and sharing laughter. This whole experience of being surrounded by my family is so heartwarming and it’s difficult to describe how insanely thankful I am to have these family moments that I had missed so much.

Normally, whenever I am on a visit, I do like exploring my country but this time, because  of  my increasing interest to give to the community and  the society as well, I cancelled almost all my plans. Instead, I’ll be sharing what I have with the less fortunate. I have had so many people help me in so many different ways when I needed help, and today,  it is my time now to help others. I honestly  don’t want to wait to the day I will get enough money or stuff to share. To me, this is the right moment.  It might not be much that I am giving but I do know it makes such a huge difference and someone somewhere is happy.

If you are on Snaptchat make sure you add me username “mutave”. You might catch me collecting firewood or making ugali like a real Kamba queen.😂

Hope you guys are having a great time. Be back soon with an outfit post.

Love and Love ❤️

Wow ! I am just envying the fact that you are around family and enjoying your stay . This dress is gorgeous . Is it a cultural dress ? Like in my country we have different cultural dresses for different tribes . Heading over to snapchat to stay up to date with your adventures .

This is actually not a traditional dress. We do have a traditional outfit specific to my tribe but I never tried it before. Mentioned it to my aunt and we thinking of giving it a try, probably next week. Will send you a picture. Thanks for comment Stephanie ❤️😍
