Happy New Year! Taking time to reflect today and looking back at my photos, 2017 was a year with many experiences, and in some way, it feels like it was just the other day when the year started. Time flies away so fast! On today’s post, I wanted to share some highlights from 2017.
Yes, we moved into a house in February. It took time for me to get used to big space as I used to live in small apartments. We have not done any major room decoration yet. It feels good just the way it is and we both happy to live here.
Axel and I ran our first marathon. We wanted to try something that is challenging. It was a tough run, but I am so proud that we made it to the finish line at 4:51:00.
Summer Road Trip
During our summer vacation, we went on a week-long road trip in Jutland, Denmark. We visited different cities in this part of Denmark and only slept in tents or shelters. I loved the experience and would like to do it again in the future.
Can you believe that it took me a year before I got my driving license? I failed the first attempt, had some issues with my driving school and was forced to find an alternative. I did not have so much time on my hands as I was about to start a new semester. Besides, it was getting expensive, and I knew, if I extended it one more month, I would never get a license. Luckily, I met a new driving teacher who truly supported me after a month of hard work in August and finally got my driving license.
Blogging events and Collaboration
I was so lucky to meet so many new bloggers last year whom we attended several blogging events together. It makes me feel so happy, and for the first time in my blogging journey, I have finally found other creative people who share the same ideas as I do. I also collaborated with few brands that I loved working with.
Living together with Axel has taught me so much. It is not a smooth ride, but you know, we make mistakes, we learn and we grow together. Some of the things that I learned last year from my relationship are; patience, the importance of working things together instead of fighting each other, being thoughtful, letting go of small issues and forgiving each other.
For so long, I used to PUSH myself to do things because it felt like it was the right thing to do. I have learned how to say NO and solely focus on things that genuinely deserve my energy. This has been a game changer, and I am proud of myself because I am now choosing my path while at the same time, I am listening to my body and not allowing myself to be paralyzed by exhaustion.
I hope you like this post. Would love to hear some of your highlights from 2017. And, I would like to say Thank you so much! You have been so amazing and supportive throughout the year. Hope you had a lovely and fun NYE party.
