Five Things I have Learned So Far This Year

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? I overworked myself last week and I got into sleepy mode which forced me to cancel my plans over the weekend. Spending time at the countryside taking care of Axel mom’s dog was a great escape from the city. To avoid being indoors lying on couch the entire day, we decided to take a little trip to a nearest city for some much needed fresh air. It turned out to be a great idea.

On today’s post, I wanted to share five things I have learned so far this year. I have had some challenging moments that had me feel like throwing my hands up in the air and give up on everything. If you read my blog frequently, you might have read this Post, where I mentioned how I’m having a hard time finding balance in my life.

Don’t give up

Life might be sucking the energy out of you, but hang in there my dear friend. You might not see the end of the direction you heading to or even the results that you expect. You have fallen down but wake up and push yourself harder. You will be shocked to know that you are capable of doing great things. Keep in mind that, hard work truly pays off.

Learn how to balance your life

This is the hardest part and I’m still working on it. Before I started studying at the university, I really never thought so much of managing my time. I’ve always taken things so easily and each day at a time. Living in Denmark has really changed my perspective on time. And even though this process of balancing my life has been slow, I actually love the results and I think I have found a system that works for me.

Ask for forgiveness

If there is one thing that I have learned so far this year is to asking for forgiveness. Just like forgiving other people when they hurt your feelings, it is also important to ask for forgiveness from others. All you need is to acknowledge your mistakes and let go of your ego and selfishness. Asking for forgiveness might not be an easy task for everyone but it’s all worth the try.

Don’t compare yourself with other people

I guess this is something that we all have struggled with at some point in our lives. Comparing ourselves to others does not only leave us stressed and worn out, but it also steals our happiness. At this point in my life, I have come to realize that your talent, uniqueness and success are not the same as mine. We all are unique in different ways and this is something that we should embrace without being ashamed or feeling that someone else is doing better than us. Know your purpose; be aware of your own talent, uniqueness and even the things that you have achieved in the past. Find what motivates you to pursue these things. Once you become less competitive, the more you will appreciate and love yourself more.

Be grateful

I’m currently allowing myself to be more grateful and satisfied with the beauty that is around me. Of course, there are those moments when you encounter things that disappoint you but I’m learning to see the brighter side from all the bad experiences. This has helped me so much to be more positive and grateful. Helping and sharing with other people makes me extremely happy. I might not have so much or big stuff to share, but I notice that even the smallest things count.

So there you have it. Few of the things that I have learned so far. If you have anything that you have learned too, I would be so happy to read your experiences.

As always, Thank you so much for reading.

I’m sending you big hugs and lot’s of big smile to brighten your day.

Love always…xx

It can be hard not to compare ourselves with other people. I think we all struglle with it but I think it’s good to accept that we are unique in our own special and beautiful way. I’m having hard time with finding balance too but I’m working things slowly and it looks good so far. Just try to make a plan and maybe stick to it. Thanks Joce 🙂

Beautiful post! I too am currently working on balance… full time university student, who works part time, blogs, and has a boyfriend and friends to make time for…. it can be exhausting. I also am working on setting aside some time just for me, one day at a time! 🙂

I can relate to you Cheyanne. It’s a tough and exhasuting task this one but I think once you find a plan and rhythm things should be working well. I do like taking time away from eveything to recharge my batteries once in a while. Have a beautiful day/evening Cheyanne 🙂

Nice outfit! Yellow/mustard colors look amazing on you! It makes your skin glow! You are so pretty. I loved your list. Seems like you have grown and learned a lot so far this year. Good for you. I have learned similar things this year especially not comparing myself to others. This world we live in is filled with so many “virtual fantasies” and we tend to forget that these beautiful pictures and posts we see on online are not real and the owners face the same issues, stresses, wins & loses that we do every single day. Great post.
